*Update - 25 June 2021*
A lil update of how things are looking at the mo.
We are making plans with all the Covid Safety Measures seen at last years event still being in place for this year as well.......Staggered Start and Registration, social distancing, hand gel, face masks, a bottle of Whiskey from each runner for the RD, etc, and so on......you know what we mean.......all the normal Covid Safety stuff.
However, if circumstances (more specifically - the Legislation) dictates that all of that isn't needed then we will go back to a mass Start and set you all off at the same time.
It is easier to have the plans for all the additional measures in place and bin them if not needed.......than it is to not have them but end up still needing them
We understand that some entrants may still feel uncomfortable with the prospect of being squeezed into a marquee at the same time as a couple of hundred other runners before setting off.......so if that is you then please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will have you arrive and set off in smaller groups after the mass Start
.Before you read all about this grand day out in the countryside we just wanna inform you of some of the measures that we are currently looking to be implementing at this event:
Supplying face masks and hand sanitiser for all event staff.
Cough protection screens in place at Registration .
Hand sanitiser provided for runners at all "touch points" (Registration, Race HQ, at all Aid Stations)
"On the day" Safety briefing to be included in the Final Race Day information and sent via email.
Staggered registration and start times with groups of no more than 30 runners at a time
Social Distancing to be maintained by all at all times inside the Race HQ, the main marquee, at Aid Stations, and on the route.
Max of only 2 runners at a time to be allowed in to the Aid Station gazebo's out on the route (we know this may create a bit of a wait at the Aid Stations......but we feel it is in everyone's best interests)
Medals to be laid out and collected by runners themselves when they finish..... only virtual handshakes and back slapping from the RD this year afraid
Prize winners to have their prize sent via post (a staggered start will entail working out who has come first not as simple as 'first across the line')
The following conditions are compulsory for everyone that has entered:
You should NOT attend the event if:
1. You have a fever of ≥38°C on the day of the event.
2. You have had any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in the previous 14 days before the event. ie: a new continuous cough, fever, change/loss of taste/smell.

Starting at the National Trust in Tisbury, nestled in the heart of the Nadder Valley and smack bang in the centre of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs AONB, the route will take you through some of the most truly stunning and visually stimulating countryside that the South West has to offer. ......nay........correct that......that the entire country as to offer. You will find yourself making your way around the Fonthill Estate and the Vale of Wardour for approximately 32.29 miles .....OK, we know that is a soupcon over 50K.... and completing an overall elevation of approximately 3430 ft.. Eventually (after a few bonus miles no doubt), you will end up exactly right back where you started your journey in Tisbury. Much hilarity and back slapping will then commence.
Each season of the year brings it's own beauty to this route .......You don't want to miss this......We don't want you to miss this either.
