The Route

So here we have it - the 5th annual running of this event!!
Starting at the National Trust in Tisbury, nestled in the heart of the Nadder Valley and smack bang in the centre of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs AONB, the route will take you through some of the most truly stunning and visually stimulating countryside that the South West has to offer. ......nay........correct that......that the entire country as to offer. You will find yourself making your way around the Fonthill Estate and the Vale of Wardour for approximately 32.29 miles .....OK, we know that is a soupcon over 50K.... and completing an overall elevation of approximately 3430 ft.. Eventually (after a few bonus miles no doubt), you will end up exactly right back where you started your journey in Tisbury. Much hilarity and back slapping will then commence.
The start point and finish point is at the National Trust, Court Street, Tisbury, Wiltshire,SP3 6LW .Parking will be available near the Start Point. A runners rest area with a safe baggage drop area, toilets and our in-house Medical Team will also be located at the Start Point. There will be 4 fully stocked aid station in total - three on the route itself. and a further one at the Finish Point (where a free hot meal will also be available) This will give you approximately 8 miles of running/walking/sauntering/ charging downhill/crawling uphill in between food & water stops, It's not really a 'run'..............more of a 'mobile picnic' really.
The cut off time for completing the route is 10 hours. The course will be fully marked with tape and signage. Marshalls will be present and want to help you not get lost.......sorry....... help you not get geographically embarrassed

Please note: Entries are exclusively on-line via Entry Central. A service charge of 4% (min 50p) is accordingly levied by them. This will increase payment to the following: £39.52
Entrants must be a minimum age of 20 years on the day of the event

COVID 19
The following conditions are compulsory for everyone that has entered:
You should NOT attend the event if:
1. You have a fever of ≥38°C on the day of the event.
2. You have had any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in the previous 14 days before the event. ie: a new continuous cough, fever, change/loss of taste/smell.
3. You have been in contact with anyone who is sick
(symptomatic) in the previous 14 days before the event.
4. You have travelled within the previous 14 days before the event to any international location with widespread ongoing local COVID19 transmission.
5. Any crew, supporters or others that you intend to bring to the event are also subject to these criteria
Transfers
In the event that you have entered but can no longer make the day then transferring your place to someone else is permitted and is the preferred option. To that end please contact us prior to arranging your own transfer. Any reimbursement of the entry fee then becomes a matter between yourself and the replacement runner. However if we have sold out the event and have a waiting list in operation then transfers will not be permitted and priority will be given to those on the waiting list. Any transfers or deferrals will not be permitted less than 14 days before the event.
Event Cancellation
In the unlikely event that the race has to be cancelled, delayed, or postponed, due to circumstances beyond our control - no refunds will be payable.
Terms of Entry Disclaimer
When you enter a Crooked Tracks Wiltshire Event you the participant agree to the following Disclaimer on entry:
I declare that I will not compete in the race unless I am medically fit on the day of the race and that, in any event, I will compete at my own risk. I accept that the organisers / sponsors / partners / marshals will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses, which may arise as a consequence of my participation of the event. Entries are personal to the applicant. They cannot be sold or transferred without prior permission from the event organiser. I also hereby give my permission to Crooked Tracks Wiltshire to use my name, quotes and photographic likeness for marketing and promotional purposes. I also understand that the entry fee is non-refundable once entered.
You agree not to hold the organisers, marshals, volunteers, sponsors or any associated company or organisation working within the framework
of the event responsible for any personal injury, sickness or accident suffered, nor the loss of any property on the
course, changing areas or event centre. You participate entirely at your own risk and agree not to take part if you are
unwell or injured. You understand that the entry fee is non-refundable. You understand that participation is highly
individual and as such entries and race numbers are non-transferable.
Participants must be 20 years or over on the race date to take part in the event. All runners must attend the race brief and have registered 15 minutes before the start. Participants grant permission for photographs or films to be taken during the event and Crooked Tracks Wiltshire reserve the right to use such photographs for publicity or promote future events. All data is stored securely and will not be supplied to any third party. On race day you must complete personal details including any health issues and medication on the reverse of the race number. The race number must be worn at all times and visible for the duration of the race. Runners must follow any instructions given by event officials/marshals. Any Participant who retires during the event must ring the race day number or inform a marshal that they have done so. Crooked Tracks Wiltshire reserve the right to alter or amend race information or rules before the event and any changes will be published. Failure to follow event rules may result in disqualification.
